“What makes me an effective speaker isn't my ability to narrate or pronounce correctly, or have the perfect mechanics or wear the best outfit. I don't sound the smoothest, but I understand my highest purpose. I understand that when I get in front of an audience and I'm speaking, that I am here to help people tap into their highest purpose. I know that I'm here to help them unlock the innovation that exists within them. I can go on and on, but I know my highest purpose, so I show up with high effectiveness. That's how you can parent. That's how you can lead. That's how you can administrate. That's how you can marry. That's how you can act. That's how you can build. When you understand the why behind everything you do, it makes everything you do that much more effective.”

Key Points

When you find your highest purpose, you operate at your highest effectiveness.

Purpose is the why behind what you do. It is the driving force of every activity in your life. And that is what will motivate and energize you in everything that you do.

When it comes to elevating your mindset: Do you know how powerful your thought life is? How intentional are you about elevating your thought life? Is it a part of your daily routine? Has this knowledge drifted into tangible action?

In order to become your best self, you have to think like your best self thinks. How? Visualization equals simulation. Oftentimes it's hard to achieve something if you've never seen it before, especially when you're the first in your family to do something. But when you visualize, your brain doesn't know the difference between what's real and what's not. It thinks what you're visualizing is true, like a dream that seemed so real. So when you think of your highest self, visualize how you act and how you treat others. See yourself walking with confidence. Hear yourself speaking with authority. See yourself, loving like you know you can love.

Here's how you identify limiting beliefs in your life: Pay attention to resisting energy hesitation like a half step, like whenever you're not going full throttle and there's that little hesitation. Sometimes that's caution but other times that is pre-wiring of your subconscious mind, indicating that you have a limiting belief. To shift your mindset, you have to replace your limiting beliefs, with liberating beliefs.

If you only do actions to become successful and get the results you want without doing the thought work behind it, you won't be able to sustain the success. Be willing to do the work, not just to get the result of what you want, or that new title you want to have or that new outcome. Be teachable. And to be able to shed those limiting beliefs. Let's say you do spend whatever amount you want to be mentored or to learn a system and to, you know, further your business, but your mind ain't right. What's going to happen is, even if you follow things to the "T," that scarcity mindset, that limiting belief you haven't dealt with is going to follow you, and here comes the imposter syndrome. Here comes all these things where you start to self sabotage, because you have not accepted the fact or visualized your success. You haven't done that work to prepare yourself to be successful. So even when you are successful, you can't accept it, enjoy it or sustain it.
