About

After working as a technical writer for over 20 years, I switched to UX writing in 2021.

I’ve won awards for my technical writing projects as well as my freelance work and books. But some of my most fun, creative work was when I produced short stories complete with characters I clipped from magazines, and witty soap opera scenes I wrote in a Composition book in the 10th grade. I’ll always write, and I’m grateful to be able to share that talent with the world.

I'm the first to admit that I haven't "made it." I'm ever learning, growing, and changing. I'm a self-described goal-getter who is always stretching myself. In addition to the podcast, I also do voiceovers for commercial and narration projects.

In 2014 I released my first relationship book, Ending the Blame Game, which is told from the perspective of Black single fathers. But I became an author in 2012 with my self-help memoir for teens, What's Wrong With Me? I became a certified professional life coach in 2015, and launched this podcast.

After being a single mom for 12 years, I got remarried in Atlanta shortly after launching my first online course for self-publishing. Sadly, my husband passed in 2018. Then I moved to Virginia, where I continue to perform voiceovers.

When I'm not voicing, writing, teaching kickboxing or speaking, I’m probably editing a podcast, running, dancing in another class or my living room, or watching true crime investigations. These are the things I love to do!
