You can't listen to those who say you can't do it. I've been doing it this year and no signs of stopping. Here's my quarterly life update with lots of gems for you.

In This Episode…

  • Biz happenings, breakups and boundaries

  • Watch me Live! (10:04)

  • Mom 2.0 Conference (12:13)

  • Dating #storytime (14:06)

  • The Social Dilemma (21:02)

  • Black Voters Matter (22:39)

  • What's Next? (25:30)

What Happened

  • Biz happenings, breakups and boundaries - overcame negative opinions to make a lot of money, fired someone, and supported my mastermind group

Use things and love people. (8:13)

  • Watch me Live! - I had two Live interviews in one week on Local Legislature Live, discussing voice acting, and #GoalChat Live, discussing loneliness.

  • Mom 2.0 Conference (virtual) event - learned about pitching, and repurposing content for online media

  • Dating #storytime - ghosting and the overrated need for closure. You can listen to Dr. Karin Anderson Abrell talk about closure on the Love & Life podcast, and you can watch Tony Gaskins discuss ghosting on YouTube.

  • The Social Dilemma - a really good documentary on Netflix where former employees of tech giants talk about the price we all pay when we give up our privacy, often succumb to the addictive effects of social media, how it affects our relationships, and young people's self-image.

  • Black Voters Matter is an organization trying to combat voter suppression, which disproportionately affects minorities. You can donate to them on their website or through the Black Voters Matter PayPal. I urge you to please vote, because it matters more now than ever before in history.

What's Next?

  • New ColorVO Collective series, featuring a talented BIPOC voice actor

  • VOICE conference - I will have a virtual presentation as part of the on demand content to come

  • Afros and Audio Podcast Festival - I'll be there talking about voice acting as well, from the perspective of a podcaster who branched into VO later. Use promo code AFAU20DAN to save 10% through November 14 at afrosandaudio.com

And again— please make your plans to VOTE!
